The Reutter coachwork was painted in Pascha Red, with the interior trimmed in Beige leather. Destined for the United States, the car arrived with US importer Max Hoffman in New York on 4 March. rnrnWhile its history in the United States is not documented, the car was later exported and registered in Italy in December 1989. At this time, it was painted in silver with a navy-blue interior and was then restored back to its factory-correct colour scheme of Pascha Red over Beige leather. Following the restoration, the car was entered into various Italian rallies in the 1990s. rnrnLater registered in Belgium, in 2017 this Porsche 356 Cabriolet was subject to a nut-and-bolt restoration in the hands of craftsman Albert Haefner. Numerous photographs of the work can be viewed on file. The car was stripped back to bare metal and painted in the factory-correct colour scheme, with the engine rebuilt as well. The final result being a beautifully restored early 356 Cabriolet. rnrnThe consignor acquired this Porsche in 2023, and in August of 2024 it received a service from specialist Tower Porsche of London. The steering box was adjusted, with a new set of spark plugs fitted, as well as four-wheel alignment.
