This vehicle is being sold at the From the John Parham Estate Collection as Lot No. S100. Mountain Magic race bike designed and built by Elmer Trett- This bike was credited as setting the NHRA motorcycle record of 6.06 seconds at 235 MPH (at that time using Kawasaki cylinder heads per class rules, now fitted with a fully Trett designed engine)- 1325cc inline 4-cylinder engine designed and built by Trett- Estimated at 1,000 HP at the crank- 90% nitromethane and 10% methanol fuel- Trett is noted for breaking the 200 MPH barrier in 1983 at the NHRA Nationals in Indianapolis- The NHRA has recognized Trett as one of its 50 top drivers of all time- Trett is known for being the first to hit a top speed of 200, 210, 220 and 230 MPH in Top Fuel Motorcycle competition
