A perennial hit with collectors for its clever retracting doors, the roadster has always been an enticing proposition. Fans and owners alike laud the Z1 for its combination of neat styling, intriguing thermoplastic panel construction, and proven reliability of the 2.5-litre straight-six and five-speed manual BMW 325i-derived running gear.
