Fun times! And that is precisely what a first year production CJ2 is supposed to be. Load up your best dog, throw in your fishing pole and tent, fire up the super reliable 134ci Go Devil motor... and set off into the wild blue yonder. Life is good. It really is that simple. This is the first year that Willys were allowed to make a civilian version of their legendary WW2 MB. Indeed, the CJ2 is the first vehicle to officially use the name âJeepâ and collectors clamour to own the earliest examples because they represent the very start of the jeep legend.    Moreover, only the very earliest jeeps of 1946 used the WW2 MB style marker lights in that iconic grille. Before the end of 1946 the design of those marker lights had changed. And yes, this very jeep you are now considering, is indeed one of those very early jeeps, and it is proudly equipped with those super rare WW2 Willys MB marker lights. Thrilling stuff!    The jeep has been rewired front to rear. The engine bay is nothing short of a work of art. The flat head engine starts with each turn of the key, it runs strong as a lion and idles like a purring kitten. The fuel pump is brand new. The entire exhaust system is brand new. The headlamps and tail lamps are brand new. The mirrors are brand new. The tailgate chains are brand new. The flanks of the jeep are equipped with four brand new cargo packs.    The wheels have been freshly painted and the jeep has been raised just enough to accommodate the four oversized tires. All four tires look unused, and most definitely add a very purposeful stance to this wonderful, trusty workhorse.    Again, this stunning 1946, early production CJ2 jeep isnât showroom perfect, but that is precisely what makes it the most perfect jeep, and the most perfect of reliable friends.
