The car went through a complete paint and body restoration by Rick Kreuziger to the tune of 475 labor hours. The also car sports a replacement 440 Six Pack engine that was completely rebuilt using premium modern components, including Ross forged flat top pistons, Eagle H-Beam connecting rods, ARP Studs, Mopar Performance Purple Camshaft with Harland Sharp 1.6 Roller Rockers, and more. Furthermore, the 4.10 rear end included with the Super Track Pack was swapped out for a 3.55 ratio axle for better streetability. Work performed under the current ownership includes rebuilding all three 2-barrel carburetors, new front and rear shocks, new rear leaf springs, rebuilt transmission, new McLeod Clutch, radiator re-cored, differential serviced, and more. *1970 Dodge Challenger R/T 440 SE*Â In the world of muscle cars, it doesnât get much more serious than the Dodge Challenger. With its aggressive, angular styling and offering a suite of MOPARâs finest large displacement, high compression engines, when it came to stoplight drag racing, these were the cars to beat. 1970 was just about the pinnacle of the muscle car era - brands saw what the people wanted, and they were able to offer these sorts of fast cars before regulators stepped in and mandated additional smog and safety equipment. This 1970 Challenger R/T 440 SE is one of the ultimate muscle cars from 1970 and this car is a rare V-Code with a numbers matching Magnum 440 Six Pack under the hood.Â Finished in Bright Red with a black vinyl roof and black side striping, this Challenger was sold new in California, and was purchased by the consignor in the summer of 2000. Shortly after purchase, the car began a multi-decade rotisserie restoration that was completed by Tim Morrisette of Bothell, WA at the end of 2024. This car is verified to be one of just 15 Challenger R/T 440 SEs that was optioned with a Shaker hood from the factory, and the last known of the 71 total 440 SEs produced at the Hamtramck, MI assembly plant, rolling off the line in May of 1970. The SE package fits this Challenger with a vinyl roof, SE badging, a smaller âformalâ rear window, leather bucket seats and an overhead console with integrated warning lights. During the restoration, considerable care was taken to ensure that the car retained its original body panels, with the only replacement being the Shaker hood that was sourced from a 1971 car and fully restored. Riding on a set of 14-inch Magnum 500 âRoad Wheelsâ wrapped in Goodyear Polyglas GT tires, one of the few modifications on this car is the addition of a period-correct âGo-Wingâ rear decklid spoiler.Â The interior of the Challenger is a remarkably nice place to spend time - as muscle cars werenât really known for their interiors, this is surely one of the best of the era. The seats are wrapped in black leather, with a pair of buckets up front and seating for two on a bench in the rear. Wood applique covers the gauge cluster, center console and door cards, and the steering wheel is a 3-spoke unit with a wood rim and metal spokes. The aforementioned overhead console that came with the SE package was only seen on cars built in 1970 and 1971 and features a dome light, and warnings for low fuel, door ajar and if your seatbelt wasnât connected.Â Open the hood and you are met with the stunning MOPAR Orange 440 ci V8, although it is mostly obscured by the enormous Shaker air intake. When optioned with the âSix-Packâ (3X 2bbl carburetors) the Challenger produces an estimated 390 horsepower and a staggering 490 lb-ft of torque, which, when paired with an A727 Torqueflite 3-speed automatic and 3.23 rear end with a âSure-Gripâ limited-slip differential, make the car an absolute monster on the drag strip. It has been confirmed that the engine, gearbox and rear end are all numbers matching - although the gearing in the rear end has been shortened for better acceleration. From the factory, this car was also fitted with Hemi suspension which is a combination of firmer shocks and a front sway bar. Additionally, power disc brakes and power steering were optioned, making this car far more pleasant to drive. During the restoration, this carâs engine was completely rebuilt, and still has not completed its breakin with less than 50 miles added since completion of the build.Â This Challenger is a true concours-grade example, that would be a welcome addition to any muscle car collection. From its combination of rare options, to the numbers matching drivetrain and almost 100% original body panels, this will impress judges and muscle car aficionados alike. With comprehensive documentation including Govier Documentation, the original Broadcast Sheet, ownership documents, an original owners manual and parts receipts from the restoration, this car is the complete package - and it should also be mentioned that itâs great to drive. Built by Rides by Kam in Australia, the Havoc Challenger is one of the most impressive classic Challenger builds ever. The build spanned three years and approximately 10,000 hours of work by hand. Starting off with a 1970 Dodge Challenger, the car was completely stripped down and rebuilt around a bespoke Roadster Shop Fast Track chassis which featured double A-arm front suspension, a fully independent layout at the rear, as well as a NASCAR-spec steering rack. "Havoc" has certainly earned its name! The entire front end was replaced with a custom-designed hand-built steel hood to encase the new 572 Aluminum Hemi F3R ProCharged Engine. The Stanton Race Engine alone provides 900 HP and combined with the F3R direct ProCharger, this beast can make up to 2500 Horsepower!  As stated by Rob Zahabi in an interview, the goal was to completely transform the car using as many custom-fabricated parts as possible and refrain from using off-the-shelf, aftermarket upgrades. The amount of work that went into this build is astounding, culminating in a one-of-a-kind vehicle that you will find nowhere else. The vast majority of the body panels were built from scratch, and the majority of the work was done in-house by Rides by Kam, from interiors, wiring, bodywork, painting all the interior, engine bay, and underbody matte clear, fabrication, and final fit, the only time it left RBK was to go to C.A.D Custom in Melbourne to lay on the stunning PPG Charley Hutton Slanted Brown to the exterior shell.  "Havoc" made its grand debut at the Great Meguiar's Uncover at Summernats 32 in January 2019, where it clinched numerous awards, including the prestigious Top Judged Elite title. The accolades further extended to securing a spot among the final 15 of the 'Battle Of The Builders' in its category, and as a finalist for both the Goodguys Gold Award and the Best On Roadster Shop Award. Most impressively it clinched the revered ULTIMATE BEST IN SHOW honor at the 'Barrett-Jackson Cup,' presented by eBay Motors.  Assembled by Stanton Racing Engines (the folks who built Mopar's NASCAR engines at the time), the 572-ci (9.4 liters) all-aluminum big-block came with upgraded bores, race-spec valves, cylinder heads, a huge 120-mm (4.72 inches) throttle body, colossal 2,200cc injectors. Force-fed air by a crank-driven F3 ProCharger centrifugal supercharger, sent dynos into a frenzy by easily achieving around 2,500 hp. Accompanied with 6-piston Baer brakes - complete with custom Havoc badging - are a set of iconic American Legend Blackhawk wheels paired with Mickey Thompson tires. The combination provides the perfect environment for the airbag suspension. The transmission tunnel is embedded through the center of the cockpit, keeping the vehicle as low to the ground as you can get! All that power is sent to the 15-inch-wide rear wheels through a custom Tremec Magnum T56 six-speed manual and a Roadster Shop 9-inch (228.6 mm) differential.  Stepping inside you'll find an interior like no other, consisting almost entirely of handmade steel. Custom inset bucket seats are paired with Simpson racing harness seatbelts and a Ring Brothers skeleton shifter. The door mats and accents are all clad in brown diamond-stitched leather to compliment the steel-painted surfaces. "Havoc" badging adorns the vehicle, inside and out, in an eye-catching yet sophisticated way. Set the mood with custom LED accenting, from inside the cockpit to the engine bay itself. Dakota Digital provided the cockpit's red-backlit gauge cluster to accompany the custom-built dash. The twin hump design gives a nod to vintage sports cars, while the flush-mounted iPad in the center brings the vehicle into the 21st century. Despite the front of the vehicle being almost completely reconstructed, the iconic grill is the original factory grill, modified to fit the new front end. The craftsmanship truly shines in the details, with all glass flush mounted, as well as flush inset door handles, and iconic Dimple Die accents throughout the entire vehicle.  In 2022, Havoc was de-tuned from 101 octane to 91 pump fuel in order to make it more practical for frequent driving, taking the vehicle down from 2500 to ~1200 HP. New side mirrors were installed and the vehicle was lifted an extra 1.5" off the ground to assist in the drivability.  This is a rare opportunity for collectors to obtain a vehicle that has redefined Resto-Mod culture as we know it.
