Fusion Motor Company proudly presents this beautifully restored 1991 LAND ROVER DEFENDER 90. Finished  in a lustrous dark red color and treated to a new Puma hood, this stunning truck will turn heads and garner thumbs up everywhere it goes!!!  Imported from the U.K., this Defender remains a right-hand drive example and features the 2.5L turbo diesel engine with 5-speed manual transmission. The axles were stripped, rebuilt, and repainted and the chassis was fitted with new springs, shocks, control arms, and polyurethane components including the bump stops. The brake system is fitted with new brake lines, new front calipers, and new rear brake drums.  A new KBX front grille and panoramic rear glass were also installed along with LED signals, brake lights and running lights. New tree sliders have been installed under the doors as well as a new off-road bull bar and heavy-duty wheels. From a large, private collection, the D90 has been maintained in a climate-controlled facility.  Passengers will adore the black leather interior which boasts a bit of Ferrari flare with two-tone leather seats, pleated in almost the Daytona style, a leather dashboard, plush black headliner, machined aluminum door handles, gear levers, and new door panels. Please email  or call 1-*number in the description*  About the Defender 90:  The Land Rover Defender (initially called the Land Rover Ninety and Land Rover One Ten) is a British four-wheel drive off-road vehicle developed in the 1980s from the original Land Rover Series which was launched at the Amsterdam Motor Show in April 1948. After a continuous run of 67 years, production finally ended on 29 January 2016 when the last Land Rover Defender rolled off the production line.  The coil sprung Land Rover was introduced in 1983 as "Land Rover Ninety" the number representing the wheelbase in inches. The number was spelled in full in advertising and in handbooks and manuals, and the vehicles also carried badges above the radiator grille which read "Land Rover 90" or "Land Rover 110", with the number rendered numerically. The Ninety and One Ten replaced the earlier Land Rover Series.  Superficially there is little to distinguish the post-1983 vehicles from the Series III Land Rover. A full-length bonnet, revised grille, plus the fitting of wheel arch extensions to cover wider-track axles are the most noticeable changes. While the engine and other body panels carried over from the Series III, mechanically the 90 was modernized, including:  - Coil springs, offering a more comfortable ride and improved axle articulation  - A permanent four-wheel-drive system derived from the Range Rover, featuring a two-speed transfer gearbox with a lockable center differential  - A modernized interior  - A taller one-piece windscreen  - A new series of progressively more powerful and modern engines  From 1984, wind-up windows were fitted as Series models and very early 110s had sliding panels, and a 2.5-liter, 68 horsepower diesel engine was introduced. *1995 Land Rover Defender 90*In 1983 Land Rover debuted their new Defender, based on the earlier Series Land Rovers, it was their updated answer to the Willys Jeep based trucks they had been building since the 1940s but with more of an eye to creature comforts. This was no small task as it also needed to maintain the serious off road credentials that Land Rover had become so well known for. With the introduction of items such as coil springs, an updated interior, progressively more powerful engines and in 1984, roll up windows, the Defender became the automatic choice for outdoor adventurers and English farmers alike.As with many cult classics of this era, a tremendous amount of aftermarket support has sprung up around them to help owners build their vehicles out to their individual specification. This 1995 Land Rover Defender is a perfect example of all of the things you can do to outfit one of these trucks for greater comfort while maintaining all of the coveted utility. This Defender 90 originates from Italy and upon arriving in the US in 2021, it was sent to Outland Defender in Kentucky, where the consignor found and purchased the truck. When this truck was new in 1995, it was specified as a short wheel base 90 with the well known 300TDi turbo diesel inline 4. This engine became notorious in period for its stout build quality and stump pulling power and was one of the first diesels from Land Rover that is easily able to cruise with modern traffic. This example has been enhanced to perform even better with the addition of an EGR delete, straight pipe exhaust, enhanced Alisport double wall intercooler and oil breather along with a new Alisport expansion tank. These modifications don't add a tremendous amount of power but make this Land Rover a much more reliable vehicle that will provide power in all weather and you won't have to worry about notorious ERG issues. The transmission has been upgraded with a Red Booster servo clutch kit which eases clutch effort and will make the car much easier to drive in traffic. Never a car known for their handling, this Defender was upgraded with an Anti-Roll kit which includes sway bars as well as the related bolts and bushings which help matters in that department significantly. A set of XTR1 18 Black wheels with matching spare have been fitted along with a knobby set of BFGoodrich K02 Tires which make it fantastic off road.Since the Defender was originally built as a farming truck, the interior was notoriously sparse- a few vinyl or cloth covered seats with rubber floors so you could hose out the dirt and mud. Although the functionality of that is great, it isn't a particularly pleasant place to spend your time- thankfully when this Defender went in for upgrades, the interior was addressed as well. The job began with the installation of Kilmat sound deadening which makes the echoey cabin nice and quiet, over that an Exmoor premium carpet kit was put in to give the truck a more luxurious feel inside. Beautiful Black leather sport seats with red diamond stitched accents and seat heaters were installed up front as was a 300 watt sound system with a touchscreen infotainment center. A 3-piece leather dash was installed with stitching to match the seats and a Momo 3-spoke steering wheel looks great and is a massive improvement over the stock 2-spoke unit. The interior throughout the car has a beautiful, upscale look and makes this Defender an especially pleasant place to be.
