When released in 2011, the 2012 McLaren 12C price was set at an amount that allowed it to compete with some of the better-known models in the sports car market.  Soon after its release, dealerships were eager to have the McLaren 12C for sale. This chassis is built around the Carbon MonoCell, which is where passengers sit. This provides a safe environment for passengers and lightens the load on the car, which weighs in at 2,868 lbs dry.

Mounted in the rear of the car, which it is often referred to as simply the 12C, is the M838T 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine. Producing 592 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque efficiently, this is one of the finest engines available. Combine this engine with the seven-speed automatic dual-clutch gearbox, known as the “Seamless Shift Gearbox,” and you have a recipe for a lightning-quick English sports car.
