Used Ford Raptor For Sale
For the 2010 model year, Ford introduced the F-150 SVT for die-hard off-road enthusiasts. With serious off-road capabilities, the off-road truck features a wider stance and FOX shock absorbers with 11.2” front suspension travel capability and 12.1” in the rear. In addition to its increased ground clearance, the F-150 houses a 6.2-liter, 411 hp V8, making it a powerful contender off the factory line. In terms of color schemes, the Raptor is available in blue flame, oxford white, tuxedo black, and molten orange with a "digital mud" decal scheme as an option
The cost of a custom Ford Raptor for sale has significantly increased due to upgrades that set it apart from the base-level F-150. Some of the upgrades, aside from the composite front bodywork and BFG AT tires, include significantly reinforced cast front A-arms, heavy-duty skid plates and engine protectors below. Originally, Ford projected the price to be about $3,000 over that of the 5.4-liter model of the F-150. An R version has also been produced in the form of a 500 hp Baja Raptor for Ford’s SVT division.
For 2017, the truck is undergoing a facelift and is presumably undergoing the same shift to aluminum construction the F-150 underwent from 2014-2015. At the Detroit Motor Show, a 2017 Raptor concept emerged, featuring significantly exposed and enforced front suspension, upgraded lights, and a new 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 that promises to out-power the 6.2-liter engine.

If you think the fully Fox lifted Ford F-150 Raptor is just another Ford pick-up truck? Think again. The modified Raptor is an all-purpose truck with a large emphasis on off-road capabilities. Drivers will feel little difference in the cab, whether they are cruising on smooth pavement or sandy dunes due to the new-and-improved suspension. Under the hood, a twin-turbo V6 generates 450 horsepower and can take the Raptor from 0 to 60 in 5.1 seconds. An array of engine options is presented, including a turbo-diesel V6 or a 5.0-liter V8. While speed generally isn’t a top priority in a pick-up truck, the model is factory limited to 107 miles per hour and that proves to be plenty of speed for any terrain. The latest model still incorporates the popular all-aluminum panels as seen before but with creative engineering on behalf of Ford, the Raptor shaves off 500 pounds from the previous generation. This takes some strain off the engine and takes towing capacity to 8,000 pounds while hauling in the bed maxes out at 1,200 pounds. Although new features like pothole smoothing and cruise control keep the Raptor a practical truck, its inclusion of all-terrain tires with optional bead-locking technology shows that this truck is still intended for desert and rocky terrain above all. Base model 2019 Ford F-150 Raptors begin at $54,450; however, the fully-loaded edition comes in at the $75,000 mark. For either option, the Raptor is an affordable and spacious contender in its class, with adequate space to haul five adults.
The Ford F150 Raptor Shelby appears to be a long-running stable. But the fact of the matter is that there are only a couple of models of Ford F150 Shelby Raptor for sale out there. However, Ford has also recently revealed the third generation as well, but it's yet to come. The first Ford Raptor Shelby F150 came out in 2010 and continued till 2014. The company then replaced that in 2017 with the second generation and used Shelby Raptor models of both of the generations that are still available.
Ford F150 Shelby Raptor SVT and Performance: The first generation of F150s by Ford, which started in 2010 and lasted till 2014, is SVT (Special Vehicle Team) raptors. On the other hand, the second generation is Performance raptors. The SVT raptors are considered more exclusive because of their low quantity. Both of the models offer a great driving experience, and choosing any of them is just a matter of personal preferences. Here are some of the most important differences that both of the models have.
The biggest difference between SVT and performance raptors can be easily found under the hoods. It’s important to understand this difference before looking for the Shelby Raptor for sale, as it can be a deal-breaker for some car enthusiasts. The first generation of the F150 Raptor Shelby came with a 5.4-liter V8 engine. It was a little weaker as compared to the later generation as the Performance Raptors came with a 6.2-liter V8. However, the output is not drastically different, but the second generation undoubtedly provides a better response as well as sound.
The suspension modes make these trucks live up to their names. Both of the generations are equipped with beefier suspension components and FOX internal bypass shock absorbers. The important difference to keep in mind is that the second generation comes with a couple of more inches of rear and front travel as compared to the first generation.
Even though both of the generations offer somewhat similar performance but they have a different outlook. The first generation of F150 Raptors offers more pronounced rear and front fender flares and a slightly narrower cab. On the other hand, the cab of second-generation Raptors is a little wider. It means that the fender flares don’t bulge out too much.
The second-generation Raptors come with a much-improved cabin and offer a blue interior accent package and a carbon fiber package. However, there was also a special edition of first-generation Raptors in 2014 that came with unique graphics, red brick interior, and special wheels.
