Final assembly took place at the Van Nuys California plant and it was delivered new to Jack W. Haupt Pontiac Sales Inc. in Clarkston Michigan on May 18th 1979.  Dressed in its striking Platinum Silver Charcoal two tone paint with correct Medium Gray leather interior this Trans Am wears the iconic "Super Bird" hood decal and retains its original Silver Removable Hatch Roof T tops. Power comes from the factory 400 CID L78 4 barrel V8 mated to a close ratio 4 speed manual transmission and limited slip differential all numbers matching.  As part of the 10th Anniversary equipment this car was built from the factory with the highly desirable WS6 Special Performance and Handling Package which gave it upgraded suspension components a larger sway bar and enhanced steering and braking making it one of the most capable and best balanced Trans Ams of its era.
