Used Ferrari 488 Pista For Sale

Inspired by Ferrari's racing heritage, the Ferrari 488 Pista for sale in the USA has the most powerful V8 engine in the history of Ferrari and the highest level of technological transfer. Translating as ‘track' in Italian, the Pista Spider is the culmination of all of the experience that Ferrari gained on the world's circuits by the Challenge and the GTE.

The aim? To create a car with unparalleled mechanical performance, ultimate driving pleasure, and accessibility of performance for all kinds of drivers. The Ferrari 488 Pista was designed by Flavio Manzoni, and in 2016 it won the Red Dot "Best of the Best" award for product design. With a twin-turbocharged V8 39.9 liter engine, the car can generate a higher power output with a smaller amount of displacement to its predecessor, the 458. The lofty aim of the 488 Pista was realized when, in 2015, the 488 GTB was named the "Supercar of the Year" by car magazine Top Gear, and in 2017 by becoming Motor Trend's "Best Driver's Car".

Ferrari has tested the performance of the 488 GTB as 0 - 60 mph in 3 seconds, and 0 - 124 mph in 8.3 seconds. It can cover a quarter-mile in 10.45 seconds and can reach an impressive top speed of 205 mph. The brakes in the 2019 Ferarri 488 Pista are an improved carbon-ceramic, inspired by the technology used in the LaFerrari F150. The result of these brakes is that they require less time to reach peak operating temperatures, and can reduce stopping distances by 9 percent. The wheels are 20 inches in both the front and rear tires, constructed with a five-spoke alloy wheel. The motivation in constructing the body of the current Pista for sale was to create the most aerodynamic body possible. The design has allowed the supercar to increase downforce by 50 percent, while still managing to reduce aerodynamic drag. With it's a front double splitter, the radiator cooling is more effective by forcing air into them, while also creating ground effect as the air is channeled over the underbody vortex generator. This manages to both increase efficiency, without adding any unwanted extra drag.

At the read, the blown spoiler is a slotted flap which is integrated into the deck lid. The result of this is increased downforce without having to resort to a raised wing. The body of the 488 has been designed to increase downforce by 50% over the 458 while reducing aerodynamic drag. A new front double splitter serves two functions: increasing radiator cooling by forcing air into them and also channeling the air over the underbody vortex. Air pressure is dramatically reduced thanks to the central Aero Pillar, which deflects air under the body of the car, with two vents in the car hood which allows the air to easily exit. The door handles have been dubbed shark fins, thanks to their unique shape - allowing for improved airflow by funneling it out above the rear wheels.
