Used Ferrari 550 Maranello For Sale

For those interested in viewing our selection of Ferrari 550 Maranello for sale, please see our listings below. Due to the limited numbers of production, availability, and variety tends to vary as individual vehicles enter the market.

Designed as Ferrari’s grand tourer, the 550 took the front-engine, rear-wheel-drive sports car through the latter half of the 1990s. Featuring a 5.5-liter V12 capable of churning out 478 hp at 5,000 rpm, the 550 was offered as a coupe dubbed the 550, after the location of the Ferrari headquarters. Only 3,083 examples of the 550 were produced. Built with a tubular steel frame and lightweight aluminum bodywork, the 550 weighed 3,726 lbs at the curb and was capable of comfortably reaching a 0-60 mph time of 4.2 seconds and a top speed of 199 mph.

While the car is certainly performance oriented, the interior and ride quality do not give the impression of a stripped-down track car. Draped in top-grade leather, Alcantara and aluminum accents, the cockpit is spacious and comfortable enough for long trips. The steel frame, while not at the cutting edge of the tubular aluminum space frames to come, provides a slightly more supple experience when combined with the 550’s suspension. While not the central focus of most Ferrari designs, the trunk of the 550 is wide and long enough for a golf bag or a couple of overnight bags for a short trip. The depth of the trunk, however, has been kept rather shallow to accommodate the rear driveline and suspension. In 2000, an even more exclusive roadster version of the 550 was offered in the form of the 550. This open-top tourer is a true roadster, as there is no proper convertible roof, but a temporary fabric affair not to be taken above 70 mph for safety reasons. Featuring redesigned Pininfarina bodywork, only 448 examples of the Barchetta were produced.
