Ferrari Los Angeles is pleased to announce the availability of a true Ferrari collector classic, a properly restored 1982 Ferrari 400i.   Building off of the 365 GT/4 2+2, Ferrari introduced the 400 GT in 1976 at the Paris Auto Show. The car was an evolutionary advancement from its predecessor, with a bigger, 4.8-liter V-12 engine that produced 20 more horsepower, now up to 340. The car retained the 365 GT/4âs Pininfarina-styled angular notchback coupe body, now with four taillights instead of six. In 1979 the 400 became the 400i when the 4.8-liter motor received Bosch fuel injection in order to satisfy increasingly tight emissions requirements throughout the world. This iteration was produced until 1985, with 1,300 units leaving the factory.  The story behind this particular 1982 400i is quite an interesting one, with its first owner registered as Ferrari S.p.A. Modena, it was likely used by F1 drivers of that year, possibly even Mr. Ferrari himself. In 1983 the car was then sold and imported to the US by Exotic Motor Cars in Los Angeles California with only 1200 miles on the car, in which the vehicle was converted to meet California Emissions at the time. A year later in 1984 it was back up for sale by its then-current owner who resided in California with 2600 miles on the clock.   It then sold to an individual, also in California, who kept it until 1990 bringing the odometer to 12,800 miles. Since then, it has had two additional owners, one of which had it shown at the Concorso Italiano in 2005, with the current owner having purchased it in 2017. That year, a total restoration on the car began, what would eventually amount to approximately $185,000 in repair work over the next three years. We have all invoices to show the extensive amount of work that was completed. The owner notes the car was in wonderful condition to start with, but wanted to restore this piece of history to its original glory. It has remained a California car all itâs life since coming to the states, so there is no rust present on the vehicle. Gran Turismo Los Angeles did the entire mechanical restoration, with another well known shop, Mario and Son in Hesperia California completed the paint and bodywork. Robert Jenni at Exotic Performance in Hawthorne did all the final tuning and adjustments. In 2021 the car was shown at San Marino Car Classic, receiving the Gold Award in its class. This particular 400i model has the burl-wood center console which was very rare. It also is equipped with separate front and back air conditioning. A vintage looking retro-radio was sourced that looks vintage but is really a modern Bluetooth system with fresh front and back coax speakers.  It comes with a complete set of original unused tools, a very rare dealership brochure plus extremely rare care show brochure, the original owners manuals with pouch, as well as many rare repair manuals and parts books. It uses three fully locking differentials, one of the few vehicles to have such a feature. The G-Class is one of the longest produced Mercedes-Benz in Daimler's history, with a span of 35 years.  Development started in 1972, focusing on off-road abilities and maximum safety and comfort; with a cooperative agreement between Daimler-Benz and Steyr-Daimler-Puch in Graz, Austria. Mercedes-Benz engineers in Stuttgart were in charge of design and testing, while the team in Graz developed the production plans. The first wooden model was presented to Daimler-Benz management in 1973, with the first drivable prototype beginning various testing including German coalfields, the Sahara Desert, and the Arctic Circle in 1974. Construction commenced on a new production facility in Graz, where the new cross-country vehicle would be assembled nearly entirely by hand in 1975, with production of the "G Model" beginning in Graz in 1979. In 1980, the Vatican took delivery of a specially made G-Wagon outfitted with a clear thermoplastic top which served as the Popemobile. The "Papa G" later took up permanent residence at the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart, Germany.  The G-class was developed as a military vehicle from a suggestion by the Shah of Iran to Mercedes and offered as a civilian version in 1979. In this role it is sometimes referred to as the "Wolf". The Peugeot P4 was a variant made under license in France with a Peugeot engine. The first military in the world to use it was the Argentine Army beginning in 1981 with the military model 461.  It was not available from Mercedes-Benz in the United States until 2002, although this was preceded by a grey-market where even basic models commanded six-figure prices in the 1990s. It was launched in 2002 as the Mercedes-Benz G500 with a V-8 petrol engine and achieved 3,114 sales that year. This eventually tapered down to less than 1,000 models sold in some years. However, in the 2010s, sales began to increase again surpassing the 3,000 mark in 2014 and in 2015, it sold more than during its launch year; with 3,616 sold that year. In 2016 this increased to 3950 in the United States.  The New G-Class features a updated interior with dual 12 inch LCD display for the instrument cluster and infotainment system. Mercedes also added Apple Carplay and Android Auto as an option for the second generation G-Class as well. The G-class also received updated seats and upholstery with ambient lightning with up to 64 colors to choose from the infotainment system. The G-Class was also updated with a suite of safety features such as PRE-SAFE, ATTENTION ASSIST, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Active Brake Assist, and more of Mercedes line of safety system pioneered from the W222 S-Class that has never been featured in a G-class before. The "Ghost" nameplate, named in honor of the Silver Ghost, a car first produced in 1906, was announced in April 2009 at the Auto Shanghai show. The production model was officially unveiled at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. The Ghost Extended Wheelbase was introduced in 2011. During development, the Ghost was known as the "RR04". It was designed as a smaller, "more measured, more realistic car" than the Phantom, aiming for a lower price category for Rolls-Royce models.  Rolls-Royce introduced the updated Series II Ghost at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.  Visual changes over the Series I Ghost include re-sculpted headlights, and unbroken daytime running lights. The Series II also gained a tapered 'wake channel' on the bonnet, emanating from the Spirit of Ecstasy's wings. Chrome inserts were added to the front air intakes, which had been enlarged so as to feed more cooling air to the front brakes. Like the 2009 Ghost, the 2014 Ghost Series II was designed by Andreas Thurner. Please email  or call 1-*number in the description*  The Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren is a grand tourer jointly developed by Mercedes-Benz and McLaren Automotive, built in Portsmouth and the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking, Surrey, England and sold from 2003 to 2010.  SLR is an abbreviation for "Sport Leicht Rennsport" (Sport Light Racing), an homage to the Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR which served as the car's inspiration. The car was offered in coupÃ©, roadster, and a limited edition speedster variants.  At the 1999 North American International Auto Show, Mercedes-Benz presented their Vision SLR concept, inspired both by the Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR Uhlenhaut CoupÃ© of 1955,which was a modified Mercedes-Benz W196S race car, and the design of closed-wheel Formula One cars, a field in which Mercedes had prior experience, providing engines for McLaren bodies, as Mercedes-Benz were already designing and developing powertrains and electronics for McLaren's Formula One Team.  The production version of the car was unveiled to the general public on 17 November 2003. This version was a bit different than the concept, the adjustments included more complex vents on both sides of the car, a redesigned front with the three-pointed star plunged in the nose and red tinted rear lights.  The SLR features Sensotronic Brake Control, a type of brake-by-wire system. The brake discs are carbon-ceramic units and provide better stopping power and fade resistance than steel discs when operating under ideal working temperature. Mercedes-Benz claims these discs are fade resistant to 2,200 Â°F. The front discs are internally vented and measure 14.6" in diameter; eight-piston calipers are used. Rear discs are 14.2" in diameter with four-piston calipers. During wet conditions the calipers automatically skim the surface of the discs to keep them dry.  The SLR features active aerodynamics; there is a spoiler mounted on the rear integral air brake flap. The spoiler increases downforce depending on its angle of elevation or angle of attack. At a set speed, the spoiler/brake automatically raises to 10 degrees, when demanded via the driver's switch, the elevation can be increased to 30 degrees for increased rear downforce, at the cost of increased steady state drag. The car has a flat underbody and a rear diffuser for improved downforce. Due to this, there was no other place for the exhaust pipes to exit, other than the sides of the car, making it another unique feature of the SLR.  The SLR has a 511 lbs hand-built 5.4 L. supercharged all-aluminum alloy, SOHC 3 valves per cylinder 90Â° V8 engine, with a compression ratio of 8.8:1. The engine is lubricated via a dry sump system. The Lysholm-type twin-screw supercharger rotates at a maximum of 23,000 rpm and produces 13 psi of boost. The compressed air is then cooled via two intercoolers. The engine generates a maximum power output of 617 HP at 6,500 rpm and maximum torque of 575 lbfâft between 3,250 to 5,000 rpm.  McLaren took the original concept car designed by Mercedes and moved the engine 39.4" behind the front bumper, and around 19.7" behind the front axle. They also optimized the design of the center firewall.  The car uses carbon-fiber reinforced plastic construction in order to keep the weight low. The SLR could attain a top speed of 208 mph  Car and Driver achieved a 0 to 60 mph acceleration time of 3.4 seconds, and a 1â4 mile time of 11.2 seconds at 130 mph. Car and Driver also achieved top gear acceleration 30â50 mph and 50â70 mph times of 1.7 and 2.4 seconds, which are the fastest ever recorded by the magazine in a production car. The SLR also pulled 1.13 g on the skid pad. The magazine suggested that the times may be even lower if temperatures were lower.  Motor Trend tested the SLR and achieved a 0-60 mph acceleration time of 3.3 seconds in April 2006.  A total of 1,131 SLR's (all variants) were produced for the united states and only 189 for the 2006 model year. Ford introduced the development of the GT in 2002 with production beginning in 2004 for Model Years 2005 and 2006. A total of 4,500 units were scheduled, but only 4,038 were actually produced. The Ford GT features many new and unique technologies, including superplastic-formed frame, aluminum body panels, roll-bonded floor panels, a friction stir welded center tunnel, covered by a magnesium center console, a "ship-in-a-bottle" gas tank, a capless fuel filler system, one-piece door panels, and an aluminum engine cover with a one-piece carbon fiber inner panel. Brakes are four-piston aluminum Brembo calipers with cross-drilled and vented rotors at all four corners. When the rear canopy is opened, the rear suspension components and engine are visible. The mid-mounted 5.4 L Modular V8 engine is all-aluminum with a Lysholm twin screw-type supercharger. It features a forged rotating assembly housed in an aluminum block designed specifically for the GT program. A dry sump oiling system is employed, allowing the engine to sit low in the car's frame. The DOHC 4-valve heads are a revision of the 2000 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra R cylinder heads with slightly increased wall casting thickness in the exhaust port. The camshafts have unique specifications, with more lift and duration than those found in the Shelby GT500. Power output is 550 HP at 6500 rpm and 500 lbâft of torque at 3750 rpm. A Ricardo six-speed manual transmission is fitted featuring a helical limited-slip differential. Car and Driver tested the GT in January 2004 and recorded a 0-60 mph time of 3.3 seconds, with a 5-60 MPH time of 3.7 seconds. Top Speed is 205 MPH and the quarter mile is devoured in 11.8 Seconds.

In early March 1990, the ZR-1 would set a new record for the highest 24 hour-5,000 mile land-speed by going over a speed of 175 mph.  General Motors acquired Group Lotus, a UK based engineering consultant and performance car manufacturing firm, during 1986. The Corvette division approached Lotus with the idea of developing the world's fastest production car, to be based on the C4 generation of the Corvette.  With input from GM, Lotus designed a new engine to fit in place of the L98 V8 that was powering the standard C4. The result was what GM dubbed the LT5, an aluminum-block V8 with the same bore centers as the L98, but with four overhead camshafts and 32 valves. Lotus also designed a unique air management system for the engine to provide a wider power band by shutting off 8 of the 16 intake runners and fuel injectors when the engine was at part-throttle, while still giving the ZR-1 a power output of 375 hp when at wide open throttle.  The FX3 suspension system was engineered by Bilstein and was similar to the system used in the Porsche 959 albeit with modifications from the Lotus Formula 1 division. The system used a gas-over-oil shock absorber whose hollow center shaft came fitted with an adjustable orifice which controls the flow of oil in the shock absorber. The system allowed for six damping settings in each of the three driving modes namely Touring, Sport, and Performance and had 14 total steps. Servomotors coupled with a microprocessor governed the vehicle's speed and adjusted the suspension system accordingly.  The 5.7-litre DOHC 32-valve LT5 engine unique to the car and GM found that the engine required special assembly, and that neither the Corvette plant in Bowling Green, Kentucky nor any of their normal production facilities could handle the workload, so Mercury Marine corporation of Stillwater, Oklahoma was contracted to assemble the engines under their MerCruiser division. The engine was largely assembled by hand and was Dyno tested before being sent to Chevrolet. Mercury Marine secured two LT5 V8 engines for itself. These engines were used in the ZR-1 owned by the company president and a custom made speedboat called the "Wette Vette". The engine was modified to be used in the boat and had an increased output of 420HP  In order to transfer power efficiently to the rear wheels, a unique 6-speed manual transmission manufactured by ZF was installed with a code name of ML9. The transmission used Computer Aided Gear Selection (CAGS) which forced the driver to shift from first to fourth under low power urban driving conditions.  Tested performance figures by Road  Track magazine include a 0â60 mph acceleration time of 4.9 seconds, a quarter mile time of 13.4 seconds, braking distance of 132 ft from 60 mph and 233 ft from 80 mph along with skidpad acceleration of 0.94 g. The car's tested top speed by the magazine amounted to 179 mph.  The ZR-1 was introduced at the 1989 Geneva Motor Show. It was distinguishable from other Corvette coupes by its wider tail section, and its new convex rear fascia with four square shaped taillights along with a special red ZR-1 badge in between.  For model year 1993, modifications to the cylinder heads, exhaust system and valvetrain of the LT5 brought power output up from 375 to 405HP and 385 lbâft of torque. The model remained nearly unchanged into the 1995 model year, after which the ZR-1 was discontinued. A total of 6,939 ZR-1 models were manufactured over the six-year period.  Although the ZR-1 was extremely quick for its time in 4.4 seconds, the huge performance of the LT5 engine was matched by its robustness. As evidence of this, a stock ZR-1 set seven international and world records at a test track in Fort Stockton, Texas on March 1, 1990, verified by the FIA for the group II, class 11 category.  100 miles at 175.600 mph 500 miles at 175.503 mph 1,000 miles at 174.428 mph 5,000 km at 175.710 mph (World Record) 5,000 miles at 173.791 mph  (World Record) 12 Hours Endurance at 175.523 mph 24 Hours Endurance at 175.885 mph for 4,221.256 miles (World Record)
