This is due in part to lightweight construction which includes a bonnet and wings fashioned of carbon-fiber and rear side windows made of polycarbonate. Additionally, a rear seating area is nowhere to be found, which is another cause of shaved poundage from the overall weight of the vehicle.

When it comes to design, although Porsche had the 911 GT3 in mind, the 911 R also includes an extendable rear wing, which differs from that of the fixed rear wing of the GT3. The 911 R sits low, wide, and flat, which are characteristic 911 features. The exterior includes two racing stripes, which echo the model’s foundation in rich racing history. Interestingly, the car comes without AC or a stereo system, but Porsche will be glad to add these features at no cost. The 911 R is limited to just 991 examples so if this one is on your list, you’ll need to act quickly.
