The used Porsche Cayenne S for sale is one of the first-generation Porsche Cayennes produced between 2002-2012. The Cayenne is the first V8 engine powered car in the Porsche lineup since Porsche discontinued the 928 in 1995. The Porsche Cayenne Transsyberia for sale was designed by Porsche for participation in the 2007 Transsyberia Rally, a race that takes place in Russia and is open only to 4WD cars and trucks. The Transsyberia is similar to the Porsche Cayenne S but has added handling, safety, utility, and off-road features that were included to weather the challenging route across the Ural Mountains.
The interior of the Cayenne Transsyberia was stripped down to save on weight and leave room for dual spare wheels and tires. And, instead of a back seat, there are two extra fuel tanks. Twenty-six were made for the race, and 25 of the 34 teams that competed entered Cayennes. The following year, Porsche sold 600 street-legal Cayenne Transsyberias as a special edition to celebrate their victory.
The new Porsche Cayenne S ramps up to 60 mph in just 4.2 seconds and reaches a maximum speed of 157 mph. It comes standard with an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. Recently, Porsche unveiled an E-Hybrid version of the Cayenne S that has an electric motor and V-6 engine for a combined 455 horsepower with efficient fuel consumption. Additional options include panoramic sunroofs, heated massaging front seats, larger 22" wheels, adaptive dampers with adjustable air suspension, four-wheel steering, and active anti-roll bars as well as the typical Porsche amenities.
Porsche has successfully continued the sporty legacy of its cars in this larger, family-friendly disguise. The powerful engine and thoughtfully designed driver experience help the Cayenne continue to lead the class of luxury crossover SUVs. It is fast, capable, and handily built.
The plush interior of the new Cayenne Porsche S comes complete with a large 12.3" touchscreen, substantial audio system, and optional 4G LTE hotspot for the ultimate driving experience. In contrast to the 911 (or any other Porsche, for that matter), the Cayenne is spacious. Its highly customizable interior (you can even select the seatbelt colors independently) offers two rows of seating (even though some direct competitors elect to squish in a third) for a truly spacious, comfortable passenger ride. When the seats are folded flat, you can store a decent bit of cargo as well. Overall, if you need the space for passengers and their possessions, this Porsche doesn’t disappoint.
