The Carrera 2 is the last and best evolutionary stage of the 356 series and thus the top model. It is the first production Porsche with disc brakes.

With a new price of 23,700 DM it was twice as expensive as the basic version of the 356B!

In total, only 310 examples of the Porsche 356 B 2000 GS were produced!

It was powered by the world-famous Fuhrmann engine, an air-cooled four-cylinder boxer engine with four overhead camshafts driven by four jackshafts. The engine was also used in the legendary 550 Spyder, the 718 RSK and the Porsche 904.

Our engine has 40 Weber carburetors and dry sump lubrication and produces 150 hp at 6500 rpm instead of the usual 130 hp.



Our Carrera 2 was delivered in February 1963 by the dealer Karmann in Fulda to a doctor in Eschwege.

Delivery color was ivory (6204). The interior was in red corduroy / leatherette. Now sports leather seats.



One of the most renowned experts in bevel engines, restored the Carrera 2 until May 2018.

The extensive and excellent restoration is documented in its own book with many pictures and description!

An absolute top restoration with exceptional documentation.

In addition, a cavity preservation was carried out in 2020.



We have a detailed valuation report with the grade 1-. The car is described therein as "absolute top vehicle with an exceptionally excellently executed restoration".
